Plastic injection-moulding tools are generally made out of metal and have a hollow core. If molten plastic is injected, this takes on the exact form and surface finish of the mould. Plastic injection moulds allow a large variety of different parts to be manufactured. The advantages of injection moulding at a glance:
  • Precise reproducibility: If a large number of identical parts are required, injection moulding is the ideal manufacturing process. It guarantees absolute precision no matter how many parts are produced. This makes it an exceedingly reliable method for the manufacture of precise parts.
  • Hardly any rework: Injection-moulded parts require little to no rework after removal from the mould. For the customer this results in cost and time savings.
  • High level of economic efficiency: It is possible to produce almost any number of copies of a part with a single mould. The greater the quantity, the lower the mould construction costs for each item. Series production using injection moulding technology is thus an exceedingly cost-saving process.

What are the different types of injection moulding?

During the manufacture of plastic injection-moulded parts, one generally differentiates between duroplasts, thermoplastics and elastomers. Here, thermoplastics have the greatest economical significance. Although the different materials differ significantly with regard to their properties, in principle they are all brought into their desired form in the same way by means of injection moulding.

We offer CAD part and tool design on the basis of CATIA as well as CAM programming (NGC CAM solution).

When you commission LANGER to manufacturer injection moulds for plastic parts, nothing is left to chance. After all, the key factors for tool construction are absolute precision and close tolerances. Our in-house quality control includes laser scanning, optical and tactile measurement, 3D measurement on milling centres, 3D coordinate measuring machines, bursting pressure tests, tightness tests, measurement of milling tools, spotting presses as well initial sample test reports. The evaluation is carried out using the software Polyworks. We create measurement reports according to the drawing or the measuring plan. Meticulous measurement equipment management guarantees the reliability of all control processes.

We deliver all around the world and are familiar with the challenges that can arise with international shipments. For this reason, we offer our customers comprehensive storage and logistics solutions including customs clearance and a transport service.
