We implement your wishes in plastics engineering precisely down to the last detail. Our air intake components precisely meet your specifications within a hundredth of a millimetre. Qualified staff and automated quality control guarantee the consistently high quality of our products.

We offer a wide range of different high-performance thermoplastics, with and without glass fibre reinforcement. We manufacture parts by means of single- and two-component injection molding. Certain colours can be added without problem upon request. In addition, we offer bespoke packaging, a transport service as well as storage of components.

What are the advantages of manufacturing air-handling components by means of injection molding?

Today, it is impossible to imagine modern industry without the injection molding. It is with good reason that it is the most commonly used process for the automated production of precise plastic components.

The advantages of injection molding in a nutshell:
  • Precise reproducibility: If a large number of identical parts are required, plastic injection molding is the ideal manufacturing process. It guarantees absolute precision no matter how many parts are produced. This makes it an exceedingly reliable method for the manufacture of precise parts.
  • Hardly any rework: Injection-molded parts made of plastic require little to no rework after removal from the mold. That saves you, the customer, time and costs.
  • High level of economic efficiency: It is possible to produce almost any number of copies of a part with a single mold. The greater the quantity, the lower the costs of each item. Series production using plastic injection molding is thus an exceedingly cost-saving process.

What injection molding methods are available?

During the manufacture of injection-molded parts, one generally differentiates between duroplasts, thermoplastics and elastomers. The most important materials from an economic point of view are thermoplastics. Although the different materials differ significantly with regard to their properties, in principle they are all processed and brought into the desired form in the same way.

We at LANGER work with conventional technical thermoplastics, high-performance thermoplastics and thermoplastic elastomers. We have the most suitable material in stock to suit every customer requirement.

Quality control

At LANGER nothing is left to chance. After all, the key factors for injection-molded parts are absolute precision and close tolerances. Our automated quality control process thus ensures that your parts precisely meet your expectations. During painstaking end-of-line tests, we check that every part functions correctly and meets the customer specification. If necessary, we also perform tightness tests. Meticulous measurement equipment management guarantees the reliability of all control processes. The documentation is digitally archived using a CAQ system.

Further processing

Injection-molded parts are often ready for further use directly after cooling and require no rework. However, if the customer would like us to, we are happy to perform further processing steps such as cleaning-up and demolding.

Logistics service

We deliver all around the world and are familiar with the challenges that can arise with international shipments. For this reason, we offer our customers comprehensive storage and logistics solutions including customs clearance and a transport service. Battery air supply and air conditioning: This is where our parts are used

High-quality components for air handling are required for a wide range of different applications. Correspondingly, our customers are spread across many different sectors of industry. Two of the most common are presented below.

Automotive

In the automobile industry, air-handling components are required for many tasks. For example, a car’s air intake system serves to optimise the air flow to the cooler and thus to cool the engine. With our air ducts for brakes, we contribute to road safety and the CO₂ balance of various models, as the brakes' air ducts play an important role in ensuring that the brakes function correctly. 

A relatively new field of application is battery cooling in electric cars. The cooling of the batteries in electric cars plays a significant role in the development of this technology. Various different battery cooling concepts require highly customised and cheap parts. We support our customers with all aspects of battery cooling for electric vehicles with our full-service offering. For example, with air-handling parts for BMW.

Ventilation and air conditioning

The energy consumption and the perceived comfort of an air-conditioning or ventilation system are influenced by the quality of the airflow system. Depending on the infrastructure and the fresh-air requirements, various concepts exist for ventilation and air-conditioning systems. In every case, precise parts are required to direct airflows in the desired way and to avoid turbulences or to create them deliberately.
